IELTS Review at TalkShop

IDP-TalkShop Partnership Equips Students for International Education

TalkShop, the country’s top English communication trainer, partners with IDP-Australia to realize its corporate mission and social responsibility to help empower individuals through effective English communication, so they can better adjust to the demands of international education. In cooperation with IDP, TalkShop gives a review course on the English language and conducts IELTStests. The IELTS
test or the International English Language Testing System is the international standard exam to measure one’s English proficiency.

IDP is the world’s largest student placement provider, with a network of over 80 international student placement centers in more than 25 countries worldwide. For 40 years now, it has placed more than 300,000 international students in leading education institutions around the globe.

There seems to be a stricter qualification now in English communication, and non-native English speakers simply have to cope and compete with native English speakers to be at par, if not ahead of them. Students who aspire to get international education from premiere universities in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada are required to present an IELTS certification. IELTS is also being conducted for immigration and employment purposes.

Many students find the English language difficult primarily because it is not their native tongue; but even native English speakers struggle with proper and correct English. Apart from common errors in grammar and sentence construction, difficulties also arise from misunderstanding the contextual usage or cultural roots of some English words.

“Like the IELTS that covers the areas of listening, reading, writing, speaking, and time-management, TalkShop equally believes in integrated communication. Our English workshops actually tackle all these areas of communication. This is the package of our English communication training. After all, thinking is inspired by reading; writing by thinking; and speaking by listening. An effective communicator has to learn all these and perhaps even more. Our partnership with international associations and affiliates like IDP is an affirmation of the quality of English training that we provide,” Sheila Viesca, TalkShop CEO and Director of Communication explains.
